I’m a competitive person.

And the person with whom I compete for the most is myself.

Even with my friends on the golf course or in the bowling lanes, I focus more on improving my score than on beating my buddies.

I’m the same with my accounting firm.

I spend a significant amount of time working on getting better. Whether it’s completing an online course or webinar, taking comprehension quizzes for changes in tax code, or earning a new certificate, I am constantly honing my skills.

If I miss a tee time or show up late to the bowling lanes, my friends give me a hard time about it. “Why are you spending so much time on that stuff, anyway?” they ask.

Because I like to.

Apart from completing the professional development to keep up my CPA certification, and simply FEELING sharper, it's gratifying to see my knowledge put to use to save you money!  

Creating new strategies that put more money in your pockets instead of going to the IRS, I feel like I’m shaving three strokes off my golf game!

So, yes, I’m a CPA with 30 years of experience. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I began my career working for a large accounting firm (In fact, I taught classes for them). And I even took early retirement to start my own accounting firm.

And I never stop learning. And as a result, I see any new change in tax code as a new way to put money in your pocket!

But more importantly, many of my clients have become long-term friends. Many of my clients have been with me for over 10 years and many people state in their reviews that they appreciate that I am “warm,” “caring,” and “friendly.” By far, this is the most meaningful feedback that I can receive.
